Overview
Velas is one of the few places in Maharashtra where Olive Ridley sea turtles come to nest. The Velas Turtle Festival is held every February–March to witness turtle hatchlings making their way to the sea. Combine this with a visit to the 500-year-old Bankot Fort and a ferry ride to Harihareshwar for a truly unforgettable experience.
